Wayne and Judy's 50th anniversary

Wayne & Judy’s Story

50th Anniversary, Upgraded!

For our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we planned a two-night trip to the coast with Judy’s sister and brother-in-law. We were going to squeeze all four of us — plus a mobility walker — into one car. It wasn’t going to be pretty.

Somehow, word got out. The next thing we knew, we were surprised with a large SUV rental so we could travel in comfort. And when we arrived, the casino host had gone out of her way to make the stay extra special too.

We later found out it was Ryan and his parents who made it happen. We were still in awe.

This was more than a gift — it was one of the most memorable celebrations of our lives. We felt immensely blessed.

Michelle & Her Mom’s Story

A Night Just for Her

Michelle’s mom always loved caring for her loved ones. But she spent 30 years caregiving while enduring the loss of those dearest to her — caring for her husband, best friend, and sister through Alzheimer’s and dementia. Through it all, she barely stopped to care for herself. Multiple lumbar and cervical spine surgeries. Bladder cancer. And still, she kept showing up for everyone else.

When Treat People Special arranged a seafood dinner after a recent neck surgery, she tried to say no. She didn’t want anyone to make a fuss over her. But that night, she got to sit across from her daughter Michelle, sharing a meal and dessert she didn’t have to plan or pay for.

For one evening, she didn’t have to think about anyone but herself.

Every month, someone new.

We’re funding twelve experiences in our first year. Each one goes to someone who always puts others first — and would never do this for themselves. Your donation makes the next story possible.
